One decidedly humid night behind a worn circus tent Ariana Arcos entered the world; screeching.
Her tired mother, a sturdy Romanian woman who had already done this six times before wiped herself off and went back to sleep.
Ariana had the misfortune of being born last to the acrobatic troupe the Aeronautic Eight. Ariana, made nine.

After years of broken arms and unsuccessful landings, the family figured this unseemly child with two left feet just didn't fit...
Desperate to prove herself, the young girl practiced day and night. She planned to wow her family by joining them in their famous show-stopping finale, and their specialty: The Arcos Human Pyramid. Sadly, Ariana, who had never learned her numbers found that she had offset the pyramid (this, of course, she realized when she lay atop a pile of slightly un-alive acrobats... and former family members)

This wonderous scene of limbs and loss was witnessed by Mrs.Blatherby and the children on their outing to Dr. Midnite's Circus. Mrs.Bo once again burdened by an unsound child, sighed and announced "Come along, then" to the sparkly girl sitting upon the heap.
